Operation Siracusa is Sea Shepherd Italia's campaign to protect the Plemmirio Marine Reserve in Sicily from poaching. The objective is to defend vulnerable species such as dusky groupers and sea urchins through constant patrols in close collaboration with local authorities. Volunteers document illegal activities and support the fight against poaching within one of the most valuable protected marine areas in the Mediterranean.
