Operation Torre Guaceto is Sea Shepherd Italy's campaign to defend the biodiversity of the Apulian coasts, in collaboration with the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area. The objective is to protect valuable species such as seahorses, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers from poaching, through patrolling, documentation, and local awareness-raising. Volunteers support the Park staff and law enforcement agencies in the constant monitoring of one of Italy's most biodiverse marine protected areas. Those who wear this graphic choose which side to be on: the side of those who defend the sea, not those who plunder it.
