Operation 5 Terre is the campaign through which Sea Shepherd Italy supports the Park Authority in protecting the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area, a biodiversity sanctuary comparable to the waters of the Atlantic. Volunteers patrol the area to combat illegal fishing and unauthorized access, and raise awareness among residents and tourists about noise pollution that threatens the communication and reproduction of fish and cetaceans. Our commitment focuses on the most sensitive areas of the Park, to ensure compliance with the rules protecting a unique ecosystem. Wearing it is a concrete way to say that the silence of the sea is worth more than the noise of those who exploit it.
